Bugatti Veyron does not require an introduction; It is known for having 1001 horsepower. It is the fastest production car in the world at 268 miles per hour, the title that the McLaren F1 passed from 1998 to 2005, it is known from 0 to 60 miles per hour acceleration in 2.6 seconds. This is known as the most expensive price of $2,250,000. Bugatti Veyron is the most famous supercar in the world, including the likes of Ferrari Enzo, Pagani Zonda, Lamborghini Murcielago, Ford GT40, and McLaren F1; But does the maximum speed and for 4-digit horsepower is equal to a large supercar?

Veyron has been around since 2005 tested by the famous BBC’s acclaimed Top Gear program and bought by oil sheiks from around the world. It’s made another automaker scratching their head for years and spawned a multitude of “want-to-be” manufacturers who want to bring down 1001-horsepower Veyron. For example, the SSC Ultimate Aero, built by the Shelby SuperCars, scores the maximum speed of the Veyron, a record of 253.81 mph in 2005 to the original Veyron, and 2.37 mph. SSC Ultimate Aero set a new record of 256.18 mph in 2007. But Three years later, in 2010 the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport again recorded at 11.676 mph faster than the SSC Ultimate Aero, topping off to cool 267.856 mph as the fastest car in the world.

The 8.0-liter W16 Quad-turbo engine delivers an output power of 1001 horsepower for the Veyron. The car’s nomenclature, Bugatti Veyron 16.4, features a 16-cylinder engine with four turbochargers. The impressive output of the 8.0-liter engine, the Bugatti engine is smaller than the Viper Dodge, it still yields almost twice as much power. Putting 1,001 horses on the ground is certainly a problem, so Bugatti decided to introduce a permanent four-wheel drive system paired with a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission, allowing changes for 150 milliseconds, faster than Chuck Norris’ punches.

Bugatti tires are specially manufactured by Michelin and can only be changed in France’s recession at a competitive price of $70,000. This does not even include the cost of a specially designed Michelin tire that cost $25,000 per set.

The size and complexity of the engine require a significant amount of cooling to ensure that the car does not overheat. It takes 10 radiators to hold the engine cooling car 3 radiators, three air-to-liquid intercoolers, one for air 1 for oil transfer, differential oil 1 and 1 engine oil. The engine configuration also leads to a very impressive, but relatively small value, the fact that EPA’s MPG rating for Veyron is only 8 mpg city and 13 mpg on the highway and is bumping 3 mpg while driving at top speed.
