Banana “Trees”, are not actually trees, but are the herbaceous plants of the genus Musa and the family of Musaceae. Because of their size, shape and structure, they are often mistaken for trees. Bananas are mostly grown cultivated for their fruits. But the plant is used as an ornamental plant in the gardens.

Usually there are two types of bananas from countries that are cultivated mainly in tropical regions. First, there are sweet dessert fruits that are eaten raw or used in dessert recipes. There is a wide selection of delicious dessert recipes using a banana in almost every food culture in the world.

Secondly, plantain is taken from a group consisting of varieties of hard fruits and is widely used in vegetable-based cooking dishes such as curry. Bananas are especially popular in Southeast Asia, India and Jamaica.


Benefit for Health

Eating bananas is an excellent way to promote healthy bones in children and adults. There are many reports of the dangers of osteoporosis in the elderly, especially women who are after menopause and have a wide range of prescription medications marketed with such people, but they are not effective in all cases. Similarly, for those in the early years, there were numerous reports each year detailing the importance of strengthening bones in children whose skeletons are still in development.

Bananas are some of the rarest fruits that can lead to an increase in bone strength in people, young and old. This is because they contain fructo oligo saccharide, which is a compound that feed some bacteria in the colon known as probiotics or bacteria that promote health. These healthy bacteria that live in the intestines and make enzymes that help us digest food faster and more efficiently.

Probiotic bacteria are good because they also help to push bacteria that are pathogenic or harmful to human help. Because of the large amounts of fructo-oligosaccharide sugar found in bananas, probiotic bacteria in the body can be increased in their functionality, as well as their quantity, thereby increasing the body’s ability to take calcium.

Similarly, bananas that also contain green short-chain fatty acids that are not digested in the body. These short chains of fatty acids, however, are useful in that it is absorbed by cells that make up the mucous membrane of the stomach, which is called the mucosa. When these cells are healthy, they are then able to do a much better job of digesting calcium in the body. Calcium, of course, is one of the building blocks of bones, both young and old, and the body rich in calcium will have a body with strong bones that are less sensitive to fractures or decay.
