In a short time, Lexus has established itself as a major luxury brand scored points reliability and customer satisfaction, making it the best-selling premiere car in America. Lexus history began in 1983, when Toyota Chairman Eiji Toyoda challenge the company’s management, to create a luxury car that can compete with the best. The challenge spurred the top-secret F1 project and team of Toyota, who went to the US to study the market of luxury cars and concept design.

The first running prototypes were built in 1985 and performance testing began in Germany in the next year. The final draft was approved by the management, as well as in 1987, Toyota introduced its first car Lexus, LS 400 – the product of six years of development, which cost the company more than $1 billion.
